An announcement about "Looking Deeper"

Hey all,
So it's looking like my next post is going to be a Looking Deeper. I thought I'd go over what I'm hoping for these to be.
As I mentioned in my first post, I will look into and pick out interesting philosophical and moral dilemmas and statements I find lurking under the surface of an anime. (Since fiction is not only a reflection of the author but a Rorshach test of its fans, these will probably seem even more subjective than your average review. C'est la vie).
Format, however, is still somewhat up for debate. The thing is that I don't really want to scare you guys with giant blocks of text, and since I think way too much about this stuff, the blocks they will be giant. (Scaring you would kind of defeat the point. Sure, I'm doing this mostly because it's fun, but if I really didn't care about readers, these musings would stay in the armchair and off the web). So it seems like it might be best for me to divide these posts up by question. So if, for example, I'm analyzing something with great points about Beauty and Truth, there won't be one big "Generictitle: Beauty and Truth" post, but two reasonably sized posts. In addition to being sensitive to people's attention spans, this format creates a way for me to revisit an anime if I think of something else later. This tactic also allows me to give each idea the right amount of thought; I can put something between them and won't feel pressured to give an only half-thought-out opinion on either Beauty or Truth. Bear in mind that, of course, many philosophical ideas bleed into each other, so a post might unintentionally talk about two things.

The next Looking Deeper is Yu Yu Hakusho: What is Victory?

This is one of my first anime, so I've had plenty of time to over-intellectualize it. It is also a favorite, so subjectivity will abound. I hope you'll enjoy reading it as much as I'll enjoy writing it.
